Critic tasting note: "This is Norton's top wine, and they've been making it since the 2003 vintage. It was originally a selection from Norton's best vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, but it has come from the Uco Valley since 2017. This year, it's 60% malbec from Gualtallary, 35% cabernet franc from Altamira, and 5% cabernet sauvignon from Los Chacayes. The wine started undergoing changes in 2016, a year that coincided with a cool season that offered fresher fruit. This year, however, there's an important twist. The fruit is very red and very tense, and the acidity moves everything around it, like a whirlwind. With its firm tannins, its sensation of verticality, the depth of the fruit, the feeling that it moves through the mouth as if it had claws—this is the best Gernot that we at Descorchados have tasted, and it's one of the best reds from this vintage." - 96/100, Patricio Tapia - Descorchados
