Critic tasting note: "As of this vintage, the former Gernot Langes is now called simply Gernot. It's Norton's top wine and debuted with the 2003 vintage. This wine has changed radically since 2016, perhaps because that year that was very cold. It's no longer the powerful, super-concentrated, oaky, and over-ripe blend that it used to be. Today the use of oak has been moderated, the harvest dates have been moved up, the fruit is much fresher and sharper, and it has firm tannins and sharp acidity that presage long aging in the bottle. This wine is based on 50% malbec and 40% cabernet franc (both from Altamira), plus 10% cabernet sauvignon from Perdriel." - 95/100, Patricio Tapia - Descorchados
