The Willys-Overland Jeepster was a compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) produced by Willys Motors from 1948 to 1950. It was designed to appeal to a broader audience than the traditional utilitarian Jeep models and was marketed as a convertible crossover between a car and a Jeep. The exterior of the Jeepster was unique, with rounded fenders and a distinctive curved grill. It had two doors with removable side curtains for an open-air driving experience. The interior featured a vinyl bench seat, a dashboard with chrome accents, and an optional radio. The Jeepster was powered by a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine producing 63 horsepower, which was paired with a three-speed manual transmission. It had four-wheel drive, making it capable of off-road driving. The Jeepster was well-received for its design and versatility, but its high price compared to other Jeeps and lack of sales led to the discontinuation of production.
