These lounge chairs, designed by Vladimir Kagan in 1969, are both iconic and sculptural. Part of Kagan's illustrious "Omnibus" series, they boast dramatic and distinctive shapes that only he could conceive. As such, they're sure to delight any lover of Mid-Century Modern design. The chairs have recently been reupholstered in a soft smoked platinum gray velvet fabric, giving them a luxurious feel. Each chair has a square seat-back with three channel-tufts, creating a seamless transition from the seat to the back. The curved streamline arms are juxtaposed with rectilinear cut-outs, an homage to Art Deco. Tom Ford has described them as still possessing "potency and flair" after so many years. With their monochromatic palette and striking design, these versatile chairs would be a welcome addition to any interior, from classic Deco to contemporary.
