This collection comprises of four "Carimate" dining chairs designed by VIco Magistretti for Cassina in 1960. These striking chairs with red lacquered wood and straw seats were originally created for the restaurant at 'Carimate's Golf Club.' The design has undergone various manufacturers before Magistretti patented its construction in 1963. The chair combines the simplicity of traditional countryside furniture with modernist design, resulting in an intense and timeless expression. VIco Magistretti's continuous research and experimentation with materials and space solutions can be witnessed in his furniture and product designs, which are found worldwide. Our atelier has carefully restored these chairs, and they possess slight signs of use and time, adding to their character.
