In 1977, VIco Magistretti designed a table lamp that would go on to become an iconic piece of Italian design. Manufactured by Oluce in Italy, the Atollo lamp won the Compasso d'Oro award in 1979 and revolutionized the traditional bedside lamp with its geometric shapes, consisting of a cylinder, cone, and hemisphere. The lamp is both decorative and essential, standing the test of time and becoming a timeless piece of design. The opaline blown Murano glass diffuser provides direct and diffused light and comes with a universal dimmer. The lamp is made of metal satin bronze and measures D 50 cm x W 50 cm x H 70 cm. It requires 2 x max 100 W (E27) + 2 x max 25 W (E14) with a universal dimmer. Oluce, Italy's oldest design company in the lighting sector, still in operation today, has received numerous awards for its excellence in manufacturing and design. The company has produced some of the world's most recognizable and admired lighting designs, thanks to designers such as Tito Agnoli, Joe Colombo, Marco Zanuso, Ostuni e Forti, and of course, VIco Magistretti. The collection continues with contemporary designs by notable designers such as Angeletti & Ruzza, Francesco Rota, Nendo, VIctor Vasilev, Nicola Gallizia, Christophe Pillet, Mist-o, and David Lopez Quincoces.
