The Armchair model 905, designed by VIco Magistretti in 1964 and manufactured in Italy by Cassina, is a modern chair with a rich cultural heritage that represents the designer's creative genius. Featuring elegant solid wood and cowhide construction, the chair's practical design evokes simplicity. Although Cassina discontinued production in 2000, the company has relaunched the chair with updated finishes and details based on the original archive model. The chair's frame boasts cylindrical legs and curved armrests that showcase Cassina's mastery of leather handling and carpentry. While appearing simple, the chair's complex design reflects the craftsmanship and quality of Meda in the Brianza area outside Milan. The chair's self-supporting seat, crafted from one piece of saddle leather curved and slotted into the frame, showcases Cassina's ability to blend traditional artisanal techniques with the latest CNC technology.
