Before studying architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Art, Verner Panton excelled as an artist. His unique designs were characterized by their innovative use of materials and psychedelic color choices. This rare Pantonova sofa showcases his playful aesthetic, featuring five modular seating pieces and a coffee table with a metalwork base that hints at volume without obstructing the view. Each seat can be arranged at different angles to create different moods and shapes. The coffee table features a slate composite top and uses the same metalwork base. Recently, the sofa was reupholstered with a luxurious royal blue wool and viscose blend and is in excellent condition, with easy-to-attach cushions and minor scuffing on the metalwork that adds character.
