Sergio Rodrigues (1914-2012) designed the Eleh bench, a vintage furniture piece from the 1960s. It is constructed with a veneered wood box adorned with Rosewood veneers and four sturdy Rosewood feet featuring elegant chrome accents. Like many visionary designers of his era, Rodrigues aimed to produce well-designed pieces in bulk. This adaptable furniture piece can serve as both a bench and a coffee table. In 1962, the "Meia-Pataca" factory-cum-store was opened to expand distribution and decrease manufacturing expenses. The bench's structural design embodies industrial-thinking, utilizing juxtaposed wooden pieces with square or rectangular profiles and straight corners. Other furniture pieces like the "Franco" sofa, the "Tonico" armchair, and "Vronka" adopt the same structural approach. The Eleh bench remains unaltered, but we offer wood restoration services to restore it to its original condition.
