During the 1960s, Sergio Rodrigues designed the stunning "Marco" chair which reflects his early career. These pieces feature a sleek design and the exquisite patina of Brazilian Hardwood, creating a refined appearance. Although the pieces have not yet been restored, we collaborate with skilled craftsmen who can offer their expert touch to reupholster and restore them with exceptional skill, producing a polished and high-end result. We currently have a rare set of six armchairs available. Rodrigues was a highly prolific designer who utilized tropical wood in countless innovative ways, making him one of Brazil's most significant mid-century designers. Together with Joaquim Tenreiro and José Zanine Caldas, Rodrigues was instrumental in promoting Brazilian design globally and transforming it into industrial design. As Rodrigues once astutely noted, a piece of furniture is more than just its shape and material - it also possesses a unique spirit that captures the essence of Brazilian furniture.
