This beautiful Mid-Century Modern Coffee Table in Wood & Chrome is currently available and is truly stunning! It features a prismatic box crafted from veneered plywood, with solid hardwood legs and chrome-plated brass trims. Known as the "Eleh" model from the "Arcos" series, this coffee table was designed by Sergio Rodrigues for the Oca firm in Brazil. With its minimalist style, this coffee table brings elegance and innovation to any interior space. The wood has been refinished to highlight its beautiful veins and age. This iconic piece would fit perfectly in any Mid-Century Modern or postmodern setting, and is a must-have for any mid-modern century collection. This Brazilian Modern piece previously belonged to a private residence in the Laranjeiras neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. Sergio Rodrigues was hired in the 60s to furnish some of the most important buildings in the newly built Brazilian capital, Brasilia, including the Palacio of Planalto where the Eleh model was used for decoration, as shown in the images. As Sergio Rodrigues once said, "The piece of furniture is not just the shape, not just the material which is made but also something inside it. It's the piece's spirit. It's the Brazilian spirit. It's the Brazilian furniture." Included in the literature section are vintage and current publications showcasing the Eleh bench, as well as Oca's manufacture manual featuring the "Eleh" model, and books about Sergio Rodrigues. The coffee table measures 36H, W150, D50 (cm) or H14.2, W59.1, D19.7 (inches) and is truly a statement piece.
