The Sergio Rodrigues Tonico Chair, an exclusive piece restored by Forsyth in Saint Louis, is truly one-of-a-kind. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1927, Sergio Rodrigues was a celebrated Brazilian architect and designer who was renowned for his use of native materials and traditional forms. The Tonico lounge chair, designed by Rodrigues circa 1960, is made from solid Jacaranda wood and has been masterfully restored with Gotland sheepskin and Loro Piana buffalo leather. The top bolster pillow and seat are covered in silky soft Gotland sheepskin, while the lumbar cushion and bottom of the seat feature the rich Loro Piana leather. Our designers have created a stunning contrast in texture and color that perfectly complements the beautiful wood. This item is in excellent condition, having been lovingly restored to its former glory.
