The Rolls-Royce Phantom I, also known as the New Phantom, was a luxury car produced by Rolls-Royce from 1925 to 1931. It was the first model to be introduced after the company was acquired by Bentley in 1931. The Phantom I was powered by a 7.7-litre inline six-cylinder engine, which produced 80 horsepower. It had a top speed of around 80 miles per hour. The engine was coupled with a four-speed manual gearbox, which was controlled by a central lever. The car had a striking exterior design with its long bonnet, flowing fenders, and iconic Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. The cabin was spacious and luxurious, with high-quality leather upholstery, walnut trim, and a wealth of features, including a central divider window, adjustable front seats, and a rear picnic table. The Phantom I was also available in several different body styles, including a limousine, convertible, and sports tourer. It was highly customizable, and many were built to order to cater to the specific tastes of wealthy clients. Despite its high cost, the Phantom I was a commercial success, and around 3,500 were built in total. It set the standard for luxury cars and remains a highly sought-after collectible among car enthusiasts to this day.
