This teak and faux dark brown leather sofa, originally from the High Court of Chandigarh (Sector 1, Capitol Complex) and designed by Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier, is a rare find. The sofa boasts a slightly sloping backrest and solid bridge structure, and according to experts in Chandigarh design, it belongs to a small production of only 30-100 pieces (standard classification "PJ-SI-42-B"). Its rarity is further emphasized by a hand-stenciled marking on the rear crossbar that reads "GCCIW (L) - 6," which likely indicates its original installation location in a specific section of the high court. The sofa has been reconditioned and reupholstered, with only a minor cut (2cm / 0.75in) on the upper frame of the backrest visible in the accompanying picture. Reupholstery is available upon request to enhance the overall appeal and appearance of this unique piece.
