Critic tasting note: "Koonunga Hill, with its rich clay soil, is an old vine site often associated with Penfolds, who use the name for a whole range of their wines across multiple districts. This wine is entirely from the old vines. It's a high octane bottling, at 15% alcohol, but is a great example of the site. The nose is a heady combo of plums, blueberries, polished oak, baking spice and chocolate. There's a sleek sheen to the tannins and a lovely acidity that keeps the fruit fresh. Oak is very present here, too. Drink now–2028. Christina Pickard" - 91/100, Wine Enthusiast
