The iconic PK 91 folding stool, designed in 1961 by Poul Kjærholm and crafted in Copenhagen, Denmark by E. Kold Christensen A/S, belongs to the early production line as it doesn't have the EKC stamp, which was only introduced later. This stool boasts a patinated leather seat and a chrome plated forged steel frame. Kjærholm's expertise as a cabinetmaker paved the way for his innovative use of industrial materials and methods during the 1960s, giving birth to a fresh, graceful, and sleek Danish modern style. The stool measures 38.5 x 60 x 45 cm. Additionally, in 1982, Fritz Hansen took over the production, introducing a new model made of stainless steel and featuring a serial number and a leather label.
