Taking inspiration from the unpretentious axe handle, Poul Henningsen has ingeniously adapted its familiar and tactile form as the foundation for the legs of the multi-functional table. This furniture epitomizes the designer's essential ethos of versatility, serving admirably as an occasional table, a dining table, a display table, a conference table, a workstation, or a table for everyday use. Boasting a robust structure, the PH Axe Table comprises eight legs that come in natural oak or black oak. The table plate offers the option of laminate, black oak, or natural oak. Additionally, the PH Axe Table can be customized with a detachable wooden cover at the center of the tabletop. Once removed, a specially-designed PH 3 ¬Ω - 2 ¬Ω Table Lamp with a cable outlet below the frame can be fitted and connected to the concealed cable in one of the table legs. The lamp comes in green, red, yellow, and white, and enhances the functionality and elegance of this one-of-a-kind piece of furniture originated by PH during the first half of the 1950s.
