Taking inspiration from the unassuming handle of an axe, Poul Henningsen has cleverly translated its familiar and tactile shape into the legs of a highly versatile table. This item of furniture embodies the core principles that motivated its designer, serving as a table with multiple uses within its setting - whether as an occasional or working table, a display surface or a hub for meetings. With a sturdy structure comprised of eight legs that can be crafted in either natural or black oak, the PH axe table is capable of handling it all. Its table plate is available in laminate, black oak or natural oak. For an added feature, the PH axe table may be fitted with a removable wood cover in the centre of the plate to accommodate the PH 3 ¬Ω - 2 ¬Ω table lamp. The lamp's special design includes a cable outlet beneath the framework, which can be easily connected to the pre-installed cable hidden within one of the table legs. The lamp itself is available in the colors green, red, yellow and white, lending a functional touch while further highlighting the unique and timeless design of this piece, first conceived by PH in the early 1950s.
