With its 72 precisely positioned leaves forming 12 unique rows, the PH Artichoke light fixture emits 100% glare-free light, while providing a beautifully diffused pattern. Not only does it offer decorative lighting, but it also creates a comfortable atmosphere. The energy-efficient LED variant maintains the highest level of quality and enhances the surrounding ambiance. Designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen for the Langelinie Pavillonen restaurant in Copenhagen, the PH Artichoke remains an international design icon due to its sculptural design. Utilizing intricate handcrafted production processes, this renowned fixture with its original copper finish has also added brushed and polished steel as well as white painted metal models to its versatile and timeless family. Louis Poulsen introduced a beautiful brushed brass edition to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2018. Henningsen's original vision of solid copper leaves with a satin finish and rose finish on the interiors of the leaves created a warmth that beautifully reflected the light from the concealed source. The copper rose edition, in particular, creates an inviting ambiance. To commemorate Henningsen's 125th birthday, Louis Poulsen is releasing the PH Artichoke in its original materials and finish, with the copper rose edition available exclusively in 2019. Each special edition features a commemorative Poul Henningsen signature engraving.
