Poul Henningsen, son of the renowned Danish actress Agnes Henningsen, was born in Copenhagen. Although he did not complete his education in architecture, he did study at The Technical School at Frederiksberg, Denmark between 1911 and 1914, followed by Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914 to 1917. While initially focusing on traditional functionalistic architecture, his professional interests eventually shifted towards lighting, which became his most notable area of expertise. The fixture is designed to emit 100% glare-free light, achieved through the precise positioning of 72 leaves that form 12 distinct rows of six leaves each. The fixture not only illuminates the surrounding area, but also produces diffused lighting in a unique pattern, rendering it both decorative and comfortable. The energy-saving LED variant boasts the same level of light quality and atmosphere as its counterparts. The materials used to craft the fixture include punched brass, punched copper, laser-cut stainless steel, punched steel, white spun steel, high-luster chrome-plated laser-cut steel, and high-luster chrome-plated spun aluminum. With a light source of 1 x 200W, the bulb type is an A-23, not included in the package. The voltage rate is 120V.
