Born in Copenhagen to the renowned Danish actress Agnes Henningsen, Poul Henningsen did not complete his degree in architecture but attended The Technical School at Frederiksberg in Denmark from 1911-1914, followed by Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914-1917. Initially working in traditional functionalistic architecture, his professional focus gradually shifted to lighting and he gained international recognition for this work. One of his most well-known lighting fixtures is created with 72 precisely placed leaves that form unique patterns of diffused light, without producing any glare. This decorative and comfortable lighting solution is also available in an energy-efficient LED variant, which maintains the highest quality of light and atmosphere around the product. The fixture is made with punched brass, copper, stainless steel or steel, or white, spun steel, and is available in high luster chrome-plated, laser-cut steel or spun aluminum finishes. The 97W LED light source is an integral part of the fixture, and comes with a color temperature of 3000K. The voltage can range from 120-277V.
