Poul Henningsen, son of the renowned Danish actress Agnes Henningsen, was born in Copenhagen. Although he did not graduate as an architect, he pursued studies in The Technical School at Frederiksberg, Denmark from 1911-1914, and later at Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914-1917. Although he initially practiced traditional functionalistic architecture, his professional interests gradually shifted towards lighting design, which eventually earned him worldwide recognition. One of his most notable works is a fixture that provides 100% glare-free light. Comprised of 72 precisely positioned leaves arranged in 12 distinct rows of six leaves each, the fixture emits diffused light with a unique pattern. It provides both decorative and comfortable lighting, and the energy-saving LED variant maintains the highest quality of light and surrounding atmosphere. The fixture is available in multiple materials, including punched brass, punched copper, laser-cut stainless steel, and punched steel, as well as white, spun steel, high-luster chrome-plated, and laser-cut steel. The high-luster chrome-plated, spun aluminum is also an option. The light source is from a 1 x 97W LED, and the fixture comes with an integral LED bulb of 3000K color temperature. It can operate on voltage ranging from 120-277V.
