This is a vintage Pierre Paulin big tulip chair made for Artifort in the 1960s. It has been reupholstered with red woolen fabric. Pierre Paulin was a French designer who worked closely with Artifort to create some of his most famous pieces, such as the "Tongue Chair" and the "Ribbon Chair" which are now exhibited in prominent museums like MOMA in New York and Centre Pompidou in Paris. This chair is very comfortable and has a tulip-shaped seat that perfectly hugs the user. It is accompanied by a metal cross-foot base that is characteristic of older tulip chairs. We reupholstered the chair with the original fabric from de Ploeg, a renowned Dutch fabric mill. The chair is in very good condition. It measures 92cm in height, 93cm in width and 80cm in depth, with a seating height of 40cm, making it an enjoyable addition to any space.
