The swivel chairs known as the Iconic Tulip Midi, designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in the Netherlands during the 1960s, have been reupholstered by Artifort in a custom leather created by Alphenberg. The model is renowned for its comfort and ergonomic support, specifically for the lower back. Three chairs are available, and the price listed is for a single chair. The dimensions of each chair are W 85 x D 70 x H 79, with a seat height of 42 and an arm height of 66 cm. Although the chairs are in very good condition, there are some minor usage marks on the chrome feet. Artifort, founded by Jules Wagemans in 1890 as an upholstery business, later expanded into a furniture factory under the leadership of his son Henricus Wagemans. Despite the economic crisis of the 1930s, Artifort developed a powerful brand recognizable for its stylish, functional, and comfortable furniture with an innovative use of materials. The brand name, Artifort, combines the Latin words for "art" and "knowledge" with a nod to the importance of comfort.
