A remarkable Art Deco executive desk, created by Pierre Paulin for Baker Furniture in 1984, is a truly unique and exceptional piece. The desk boasts beautiful birdseye maple and a writing surface with leather top. Its design was modeled after a desk that was originally made for the office of the Palais de l'Elysée President François Mitterand in 1983. The desk still displays the original Baker label and remains in excellent vintage condition. Measuring 72.13"W x 36"D x 29"H, this desk can be utilized as a floating piece in a room, since it is finished on the back. Chapoutot's "Pierre Paulin: Un Univers de Formes", page 130, illustrates the desk for Francois Mitterand in an elegant manner.
