While pursuing his passion for design, French postwar designer Paulin, who passed away in 2009, drew his inspiration from Nordic modernity and simplicity. Despite struggling as a student in sculpture, Paulin referred to himself as a self-made designer. He had an impressive ability to visualize the 3D concepts of his furniture with ease. Paulin was a meticulous researcher who appreciated the social role of design.
