The élysée low table is a rare and significant design icon from the 20th century. Originally created by Pierre Paulin for the Private Living Room of President Georges Pompidou and his wife Claude at Palais de L'élysée in Paris, this edition is a standout piece. President Pompidou enlisted Paulin to craft the interiors and furnishings for three rooms - the living room, smoking room, and dining room - in his contemporary style. The élysée low table is based on Paulin's earlier Flower Table, and is expertly crafted with a base of powder-coated aluminum and a smoked glass top. This particular version was edited by Alpha International circa 1971 and is an exceptional addition to any discerning collector's collection.
