In 1966, Pierre Paulin created a fully upholstered design that showcases his innovative and professional vision of the iconic ribbon form. Consisting of a metal frame with horizontal springs and covered in foam and stretch fabric, the chair also boasts a lacquered pressed-wood pedestal. This exemplary work of applied art is featured in the National Gallery of VIctoria's collection in Melbourne, Australia. The chair's base comes with a Multiplex foot and comes with high-gloss lacquering options in Ral 3000 red, Ral 9005 black, Ral 9010 white, or Silvergrey. It also includes plastic gliders for added convenience. The metal frame is overlaid with webs and cut foam, and we highly recommend upholstering it with fabrics from either Kvadrat Tonus or the Momentum Collection by Jack Lenor Larsen to avoid creating unwanted pleats. Meanwhile, the footstool measures H 48cm x W 76cm x D 50cm. Please take note that the title of the item pertains to the primary image, whereas additional images may depict the product in other colorways that are also available on GLINT. All in all, this chair is a beautiful and unique piece that is sure to elevate any space.
