The globally renowned Orange Slice armchair designed by Pierre Paulin adds an airy, spacious and delightful touch to any room it's placed in. The chair's most distinctive feature is the curved shape of its two equally shaped shells, which exude a playful, laughter-like appearance. Paulin's 1952 discovery of bending plywood served as the basis for the F437 design, which ultimately earned its nickname, Orange Slice due to its resemblance to said fruit's segments. The chair is a celebrated Artifort classic that has been in production since 1960 and remains a popular choice today. Its base is made of white steel, offered in a choice of chromium or powdercoat finish, and comes with black plastic gliders. The F437 and F437b versions are available, with the latter providing a more active posture. The Orange Slice Junior is suitable for weights of up to 50 kg and comprises two identical shells made of compressed beech, covered with molded foam. Additionally, the armchair comes in a heightened version and can be paired with the matching P 437 footstool. Grade AA fabric completes the composition charmingly.
