A unique Pierre Paulin executive desk made for Baker featuring bird's-eye maple veneers with inlaid dark walnut in the signature Paulin Collection motif. The drawers provide a floating effect and the legs display a clean edge of stepped mitres, making the desk exceptionally well-made and heavy. The wood grain is stunning, complemented by solid brass double-square pulls.'_x000D_ _x000D_ Baker enlisted Pierre Paulin in the mid-1980s to design an exclusive collection of furniture. The design was inspired by the interiors of the Elysee Palace, which Paulin had previously completed for Georges Pompidou and Francois Mitterand. Though the endeavor proved expensive, a select number of these Paulin pieces were produced. _x000D_ _x000D_ This desk has a chair space of 28.5" H x 33" W and is a beautiful addition to any space.
