Pierre Paulin, who was born in Paris in 1927, collaborated with Dutch manufacturer Artifort to create his most famous furniture pieces. Some of these include the Ribbon chair, the Tongue chair, and the Tulip, which can be found in museums such as MOMA New York and Centre Pompidou Paris. The F598 Groovy or M-Chair, designed in 1972, is undeniably Paulin's most iconic work. Its compact size, stylish appearance, and exceptional comfort made it one of the top-selling chairs in the 1970s. Although it is no longer in production, the Groovy chair remains highly sought after and collectible. This particular Groovy Chair, made in the 1980s, is in excellent condition with its original, pristine mauve-colored fabric and metal base bearing the artist's signature and serial number. Two identical chairs in similar good condition are available for purchase. Note that shipping rates provided by GLINT are approximations only.
