Made from natural materials such as solid teak wood, and upholstered with colored fur, the chair's simplicity and roughness are emphasized by its few but well-executed elements. Pierre Jeanneret, one of the most prominent architects and designers of the modernist period, was involved in numerous projects alongside Le Corbusier that left a major impact on modern architecture. To preserve the historical traces and value, we exercise care not to restore the chair too much, keeping as much of its authenticity as possible. At our gallery, we sell only authentic mid-century objects, handpicked by the owner himself in India. All objects are bought unrestored, ensuring that important authenticity indicators are visible. Original wooden parts are kept intact, and we do not replace damaged parts with new or from other Jeanneret pieces. We strive to preserve the patina during the restoration process, as this is an important sign of authenticity. Upholstery is redone as needed, and each piece comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity." We have pairs available, and we can upholster them according to your preference. Our gallery is located in Switzerland, the birthplace of Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier. Our owner studied architecture at ETH in Zurich and focused his efforts on the works of Jeanneret, Perriand, and Le Corbusier since the opening of our gallery in Zurich Downtown. Our new showroom of 450m2 features a beautiful selection of raw design masterpieces, and we are one of the biggest experts for Chandigarh objects worldwide.
