This is a teak coffee table that has been beautifully restored and retains all its authentic wooden parts, showcasing a lovely patina. It's a collector's item from Chandigarh that we purchased and restored without harming its rich patina. We adore this piece and hope you do too. While we replaced the glass, everything else is genuine and original. In terms of authenticity, we only sell midcentury items that are truly authentic. Our gallery owner personally selects each piece from India and we procure them in an unrestored condition to maintain their authenticity. We never substitute original parts for new ones or those from other Jeanneret pieces, allowing all the traces and important indicators of authenticity to remain visible. Preserving the patina is a crucial part of the restoration process, where we strive to preserve as much of it as we can. The age-old cracks, deep scratches, worn lacquer, and discoloration as a result of people's touch all signify the piece's authenticity.
