The integrated shelf on this 1957-1958 Office Desk is truly a work of art. Its clever design surprises with a bookcase on the front side, offering an attractive space to display books and decorative items. Its compact size and simple yet charming structure make it an ideal addition to any interior. Crafted from sturdy sissoo wood beams, it boasts letters that add to its historical value as a piece of Chandigarh's past. While the top has been restored to a pristine state, we have used skai instead of leather, which was not used in India due to religious reasons. Our commitment to authenticity sets us apart. We personally source and handpick each midcentury piece from India and purchase them in their unrestored state, ensuring that all the important indicators of authenticity and historical significance are visible. We never replace damaged parts with new ones or from other Jeanneret pieces, as the patina and authenticity of the pieces are of paramount importance. Old cracks, scratches, worn lacquer, and signs of wear and tear reveal important insights into each piece's unique history. As a testament to our dedication, we provide a "Certificate of Authenticity" with every purchase.
