This chair is an exceptional example of midcentury design and has become somewhat of an icon. Its beauty lies in its simplicity, with the stunning teak wood displaying a rich patina that we aim to preserve as much as possible during any restoration work. We believe in maintaining as many of the historical traces and values of our pieces as we can, and so we don't restore them too extensively. At our gallery, we only sell authentic midcentury objects that have been carefully chosen by our owner during his trips to India. All the wooden parts are original, and we never replace them with new or from other damaged pieces. We keep the original patina intact, with all the scratches and wear adding to the piece's authenticity. "Certificates of Authenticity" are provided for your peace of mind. Unfortunately, fake Chandigarh objects exist, so it's best to buy from reputable experts like us.
