The Committee armchair, originally designed by Pierre Jeanneret in the 1950s, has been relaunched in 2022 by Cassina in Italy as part of the Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret tribute collection. This dining chair features bold lines, solid wood structure, and the iconic upside-down "V" lateral supports. Available in teak, natural oak, and oak stained black, the design of the armchair contrasts elegantly with its soft-padded parts for comfortable seating. The Committee Chair is now offered in the original version and a versatile interpretation without armrests to fit perfectly in living and dining areas. Pierre Jeanneret was a pioneer of modernist architecture and design. He collaborated with Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouvé on various design experiments and played a significant role in the Chandigarh project, Le Corbusier's mature urban-planning project that remains a masterpiece of modern vision. Cassina is renowned for manufacturing iconic pieces of contemporary design and revisiting furnishings by the best-known architects of the twentieth century, while preserving their functional concepts with evolved technology.
