These rare and highly desired chairs have a wooden base and feature their original wool fabric for the seating and backrest. A noteworthy fact is that the chairs, along with other furniture created for Chandigarh, were crafted from timber sourced by logging trees due to the city's construction, showing an early inclination towards ecological consciousness.
