A pair of teak "Lawyer" chairs with a flat, tilted backrest and side frame resembling a bridge. The detached armrests have rounded cuffs, with the seat, backrest, and cuffs covered in cream color leather that has been restored to its original condition. These chairs date back to circa 1955-1956 and have a provenance from the administrative building of Chandigarh, India. They were featured in E. Touchaleaume & G. Moreau's book "Le Corbusier Pierre Jeanneret - l'aventure indienne" and are also shown in color on page 567 (LC/PJ-SI-41-A).
