The lounge chairs known as Easy chairs, which were designed by Pierre Jeanneret for administrative buildings in Chandigarh, India, have become an iconic model. The chairs, made of teak and wicker, exhibit the famous "compass" style associated with Jeanneret, featuring triangular legs. Their slightly curved backrests and armrests provide comfortable seating, and their wooden patina has aged beautifully, showcasing their enduring quality. Jeanneret, a Swiss architect and furniture designer, collaborated with his cousin Le Corbusier for most of his career. Together, in the early 1950s, they undertook a huge urban planning project in Chandigarh, producing low-cost buildings for the community, which resulted in a landmark of modernist architecture.
