The DS-707 combines handmade leather and contemporary design to create a modern composition. Designed by Philippe Malouin, it features flowing, soft transitions that blend the postmodern era of Swiss furniture design with the open structures of brutalism. The DS-707 is available as a comfortable armchair or as a modular sofa that can be combined in endless ways. It is an aesthetically pleasing form that adds a unique highlight to any room. The famous Habitat 67 in Montreal is a residential complex featuring brutalist architecture that inspired Malouin throughout his life. When given the opportunity to work with De Sede, Malouin was given a free hand and started his work by experimenting with materials. He eventually created the DS-707 using folded foam, resulting in a modular sofa system with a modern yet timeless aesthetic. This masterpiece is an homage to classic De Sede designs and was created for the future. The DS-707 is upholstered in Perla and measures 99 W x 30 D x 34 H inches with a seat height of 17 inches. It is also available in other upholstery options.
