The DS-707 boasts a contemporary design that effortlessly blends handcrafted leather with modern style. Philippe Malouin, the designer, drew his inspiration from brutalism and the postmodern era of Swiss furniture design. The piece is available as a modular sofa that is infinitely customizable or as a comfortable armchair. It creates an eye-catching focal point in any room. In Montreal, the famous Habitat 67 residential complex stands tall on a small headland. The striking architectural style of brutalism is evident in the complex, designed by architect Moshe Safdie for Expo 67. Philippe Malouin, who was raised near the complex, drew inspiration from these forms of brutalism. When de Sede approached him with the idea for the DS-707, he was given a free hand to create a masterpiece. Malouin experimented with various materials, including foam, to design the new sculpture. The result was a modular sofa system with a modern aesthetic, paying homage to classic de Sede designs. The DS-707 is available in brown naturale leather and other upholstery colors. It measures 100 W x 85 D x 75 H cm, with a seat height of 43 cm. The DS-707 is a testament to the future of furniture design.
