Critic tasting note: "For La Craie, David Bonomi and Edgardo del Popolo selected grapes in a sector of the vineyard with the highest proportion of limestone in all of Gualtallary. This year, the blend is approximately three-quarters malbec and one-quarter cabernet franc, and although the herbal character is present behind the fruity notes, what predominates here is the intense chalk, both in the mineral flavors and in the granular texture of the tannins. Despite the juiciness and fruitiness of this blend, it’s austere, monastic even. It’s a wine that speaks less of varieties than of that remote corner of Uco, those abundantly stony and chalky soils of Gualtallary." - 97/100, Patricio Tapia - Descorchados
