Bin 28 was named after the Barossa Valley Kalimna vineyard purchased by Penfolds in 1945 and from which the wine was originally sourced. Today, Bin 28 is a multi-region, multi-vineyard blend, and from 2019 onwards, the wine is not labelled 'Kalimna'. Critic tasting note: "Filled with layers of red and black berries and accented with hints of vanilla and chocolate, this creamy-textured Shiraz shows some muscle as well, suggesting that while it is approachable now, it will age nicely over the next 10 years or so." - <i>90/100</i>, <i>Wine Enthusiast</i>
