During the mid-1960s, a remarkable collaborative effort between Paul Evans and Phillip Lloyd Powell produced an exquisite studio craft cabinet, adornment with 23 Karat gold leaf. The cabinet comprises several features such as a top storage compartment with adjustable shelves and lined with felt, a concealed vanity section with three mirrors decorated with torch-cut brazed discs, flanked by vertical rows of lightbulbs with a concealed storage area behind the mirrors. Beneath the vanity area, the cabinet features a drop-front laminated tray and an open storage compartment. The lower section of the cabinet is furnished with five solid walnut drawers that are hand-carved, while the left side contains a cut-out compartment with a hidden outlet and a slate surface that would be a convenient charging station for smartphones.
