The Paul Evans Cityscape lamp produced by Directional in 1972 is an exceptionally rare model crafted from polished stainless steel and brass mosaic tiles. The attached page from the original catalog suggests it may be identified as model PE-4006. What is interesting to note is that, despite towering six feet tall floor lamps being part of the collection, this particular model commanded the highest retail price. Standing at 36 inches tall with a five inch square column base, the lamp extends through a hole in the center of the square reflector shade. It requires four Edison screw size bulbs, each with a wattage of 40. An on/off switch can be found on the backside, which operates all four bulbs. Overall, this is a lamp which is pleasingly unique.
