The Nike Kyrie 3 was created as a tribute to two legendary figures, Kobe Bryant and Bruce Lee. Dubbed the "Mamba Mentality" edition, it boasts a striking tour yellow and black color scheme reminiscent of the Nike Kobe V that dropped in 2009. The shoe holds significance for Kyrie, who wore the special edition Kobe's as a 17-year-old playing in the Nike Extravaganza in California. The sneaker pays homage to Bruce Lee with his trademark yellow and black hues in the form of yellow-based uppers with black and red accents. The shoe also showcases several details such as the new "Kyrobe" logo on the tongue, four red slashes, and snakeskin on the medial section representing the "Black Mamba." The snakeskin pattern fades to a samurai textile print on the lateral side, passing the torch to Kyrie Irving and paying tribute to his Kyrie 3 worn on Christmas day in 2016. The shoe was released on September 15th, 2017, and was available in limited quantities at select Nike retailers worldwide. Retailing at $120, the shoe was exclusively for men.
