During the late 1920s, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe designed a striking leather daybed which was initially intended for use in the German Pavilion at the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona. Since its inception, it has been regarded as a masterpiece by the world-renowned modernist designer and is considered one of the most iconic designs of the 20th century. Since 1953, Knoll has been producing this notable piece. Our Mahogany framed Bordeaux leather version is in excellent condition with only slight signs of use. The Knoll marking on the underside reveals its Italian origin from the 1990s. The daybed's approximate dimensions are 198cm in width, 65cm in height, 42cm in seating height, and 98cm in depth.
