Louis Weisdorf designed the "Conch" fixture, known as the "Konkylie" in Danish, specifically for Tivoli Garden in Copenhagen in 1964. Produced by Lyfa with the collaboration of the Berg brothers, Weisdorf, who worked as Simon P. Henningsen's assistant at Tivoli Garden, is credited as its designer. While some former lighting by Simon P. Henningsen was also drawn by Weisdorf, the Konkylie is his first pendant lamp that bears his name. The lamp's 12 golden metal lamellae create a geometrical conch-like shape that provides a beautiful light. The lamp's interior is coated in orange and yellow, and the bulb is entirely concealed. The chrome exterior reflects the light strikingly, making this lamp an astonishing sight whether illuminated or not. This iconic Danish design piece is quintessential for any modern home. It is fiber-washed, and minor scratches on its surface can be seen in the fourth image, adding to its charm.
