In 1928, René Lalique created the decorative panels Merles et Raisins in white pressed glass with a silver background to adorn the Cuban mahogany woodwork of the iconic Orient Express Presidential Wagon. This pattern, Merles et Raisins, features a motif symbolizing elegance and the "Art de Vivre" with a delightful design of blackbirds nibbling on grapes. The clear crystal and polished steel panels measure H 69 x L 34 x W 23 cm and weigh 15.0 kg. Emitting 2500 lumens from 364 LED lights at 21 watts, the panels offer warm light with a color temperature of 4000°K. They are suitable for indoor use with a protection rating of IP20. This numbered edition was designed by Lady Tina Green and Pietro Mingarelli for Lalique Maison.
