In 1928, René Lalique created a decorative panel that adorned the cars of the iconic Orient Express train, taking passengers on a journey from the Seine to the Bosphorus. Alongside René Prou, Lalique is celebrated as one of the revered artists who contributed to the train's decoration. Originally crafted in white molded pressed glass, this panel was set on a silver background within Cuban mahogany paneling. The design, inspired by Art Deco, features a blend of geometric and floral elements. It depicts a graceful dance, where a woman elegantly moves amidst volutes and grapes, capturing light and creating a poetic ambiance. This panel is reminiscent of the Femme Tête Levée panel also found on the Orient Express train. Handcrafted in France, this piece is available in clear crystal as well as mirrored clear crystal with a frame upon request. Dimensions: H 45.8 x L 15.3 x D 1.7 cm, Weight: 2.8 kg.
